The Clean Machine: far out service at a down to earth price 515.494.9494

Residential carpet cleaning and protection

Hot water extraction from our truck-mounted Butler System, which many people call steam cleaning: 200 degree water and humongous suction to pull the soil back out. We believe all cleaning is a matter of degree, and we reach for the deepest professional clean every time.

What we bring

The Clean Machine has the tools for all kinds of challenges.

Expect heavy use of commercial vacuum cleaners, rotary extractors, CRB (counter rotating brush) machines, and Zipper and Devastator wands.

How we protect your home

Corner guards, neoprene floor runners, shoe covers where necessary, and the Seal A Door, a hit with repeat customers for years. It is the grooviest contraption: it keeps your home tight while the hoses run through the door, and keeps the temperature steady whether it is winter or summer.

How a cleaning goes

  1. Walk-through. We walk through the areas with you, address any concerns, point out problems we see and explain how we can help. We measure the carpet and give you an estimate before we begin, so there are no surprises.
  2. Pretreat. Water-based cleaning detergents that are safe for your family and pets, applied at 200 degrees so they start loosening soil right away. On heavily traveled areas a CRB (counter rotating brush) machine scrubs the solution down to the base of the fibers.
  3. Rinse and extract. Our van-powered Butler System makes copious hot water and suction to pull out the soil the pretreatment and scrubbing loosened. A special rinse runs through the hot water line to flush out the first detergent, so the carpet is left soft and free of soapy residue.
  4. Post-spotting. The pretreatment takes out most spots and spills, and some need a little more. We specialize in stain removal, from coffee spills to Kool-Aid dribbles, and ask about them during the walk-through.
  5. Speed drying. As we finish each area we set carpet drying fans in it, so you can get back to normal life as quickly as possible.
  6. Grooming and protector (optional). For homes with children, pets or a lot of traffic, we recommend a carpet protector. It helps prolong the life of the carpet, makes vacuuming more efficient and makes spots and spills easier to clean up. We can apply it everywhere we clean, or just the high-traffic areas.

When it is time

  • Traffic lanes are graying. Dry soil is abrasive, and it wears carpet out faster as it gets lived on.
  • Spots and spills, from coffee to Kool-Aid, that the vacuum will not touch.
  • Pet accidents and odors. The enzyme treatment and black light are on the van.
  • You are thinking of replacing the carpet. Try a professional cleaning first.

What customers say

★★★★★

Russ was here exactly when he said he would be, which is huge. We had lots of set stains from kids and pets and he did a phenomenal job getting them out. I wish we would have had him come sooner. The house feels refreshed. Very pleased with the work, and as a bonus, Russ is a super great guy!

We moved into a home with carpet that had several pet stains and were generally dirty. After having it cleaned, they look brand new! The cleaning was very affordable & they did an awesome job. Moved the furniture & had the carpets dry by the time we got home in the evening. I highly recommend their service!!

I never, ever, give a 5 star review because I believe there is always room for improvement. As they say, there is a first time for everything! I have been considering replacing my carpet but decided to try a professional cleaning before spending the money...I'm so glad I did! Admittedly, my expectations were very high after enthusiastic recommendations from my neighbors; Russ/Clean Machine met and exceeded every single one. My 11 year old carpet looks, feels & smells (2 kids, a dog and a cat!) brand new! From setting the appointment, to preparation, to the final product, The Clean Machine is easily one of the best service companies I have ever worked with. He got stains out of my carpet that have been there for years, including red wine and paint! The only downside is I can't have it done weekly! Don't waste your time or money anywhere else!

Questions

How much do you charge?

Pricing is most commonly quoted by the square foot cleaned, because every job is different and calls for its own cleaning regimen. There is a minimum charge of $250 plus tax per work order, and estimates are always free. We measure the areas to be cleaned when we arrive and tell you the total before any cleaning begins, so you know everything up front.

Do I have to be home for my appointment?

No. If you're comfortable with us cleaning while you're out, so are we. Many customers do exactly that. Just give us instructions for getting in and tell us which areas to clean when you reserve your appointment.

How long does it take for my carpet to dry?

It varies widely, but the average dry time is 6 to 12 hours.

Do you have a product for pet urine odors?

Yes. We have a pet enzyme treatment designed to help eliminate strong odors, and a high-powered black light to find the problem areas so we can concentrate on them.

Ready for carpet that feels new again?

Tell our assistant which rooms need cleaning and it will set things up with Russ and Mel.
